2 DAYS ALPSTEIN SURROUNDING IN SPRING
Tour description
Day 1: We hike from historic Urnäsch to Hochalp (lunch or picnic). From the highest point we enjoy the view of the Säntis massif, the Churfirsten and the Glarus Alps. We continue via various small alps and wonderful moorland and forest landscape to Schwägalp. We will stay in the new imposing ***S Hotel Säntis incl. wellness area (Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, experience showers, relaxation room) on the Schwägalp. There is the possibility to take the cable car (discount for us hotel guests) to the Säntis, which is enthroned in front of us.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, the tour continues from Schwägalp to Chammhaldenhütte, from where the Säntiswand can be experienced in a particularly impressive way. Afterwards we will walk through a charming forest landscape up to the Kronberg (lunch or picnic). We enjoy the lunch break and the fascinating view before we continue via various small alps and wonderful moorland up to Klosterspitz. From there we descend to our destination of idyllic Appenzell, the end of our two-day hike. A joint aperitif rounds off our hike.
