«Batnight» at the Swiss Hiking Night

wanderidee.ch has already taken part in the Swiss Hiking Night with exciting offers in the last few years, and this year we have come up with something special again!
We will hike along a total of five secluded, scenically beautiful ponds. They are called Horber Weier, Rütiweier, Horbacher Weier, Gwandweier and Hauptwiler Weier, and yes - they are indeed all spelt without an h. In Bischofszell on the Thur, the motivated night hikers are finally welcomed for an exclusive bat excursion.
The Thurgau Bat Protection Association is committed to the well-being of native bats. It provides financial and non-material support for bat conservation projects in Thurgau, carries out public relations work on bat conservation issues and organises events.
We are pleased to be able to organise a joint event on the occasion of the Swiss Hiking Night – in combination with a cosy evening hike, this is of course particularly atmospheric. We are looking forward to seeing the three species of water bat, evening bat and common pipistrelle at dusk. Franziska and Marius Heeb from fledermausschutz-tg.ch can also provide exciting background knowledge about these fascinating flying mammals.
