FromWay: The summer culture hike
Tour description
Where do we come from and where are we going? What was before and what is after? The topic "way" is an open field. Encounters and interactions while being on the way influence decisions and going on. It is about differences and obstacles that we encounter on a path. Detours, waymarks and passages are central aspects of a path. Narrowings and openings and losing a way are part of it. But a path is also simply movement through space and time. And it can include individual movement as well as the movement of social groups.
The park and the gallery of the cultural site Weiertal will be occupied with nineteen site-specific art projects in the thematic field «path». Different social, political and philosophical, but also sensual aspects of the path are illuminated and find their artistic realization in a wide variety of media.
The summer culture walk takes place in all weathers. In cooperation with the gallery Weiertal and the professional guided tour through the exhibition with an art historian. Following the exhibition, the bistro is open just for our group, where we treat ourselves to refreshments before a winding final stretch to Winterthur-Wülflingen train station.
