The snowshoe tours in Val Sinestra are easy and also suitable for beginners.
Because the valley sides are steep, full avalanche equipment is necessary and can be rented.
The rear Val Sinestra opens up more and more and is perfect for a long snowshoe tour without hustle and bustle.
Relaxation after the tour - the sauna in the outbuilding, cooling off in the powder snow...
Hof Zuort is safely accessible even when there is a lot of fresh snow.

Tour description

The hamlet of Zuort is an ensemble of farm, stable, chalet and chapel and was the customs station to Austria for centuries. This unique mountain inn with just 12 beds is run with great attention to historical details, fine food and local wines.
On the first day we start in Vnà and hike via Alp Griosch to Zuort. We check into our rooms and toast to the coming festive season in this fairytale winter wonderland. Those who wish can enjoy a sauna in the neighbouring building and cool off outside in the powder snow. The restaurant serves local Engadine cuisine and has a well-stocked wine cellar with Grisons and Tyrolean wines.
On the second day, we hike along the Brancla stream up Val Sinestra to Alp Chöglias, depending on the avalanche situation. This snowshoe tour is only undertaken by a few guests of Hof Zuort, as this border area is too remote.
We return to Sent on the third day through the snow-covered fir forests and on a good path. We can make a detour to the legendary haunted hotel Val Sinestra or hike straight back.
An exceptional culinary and scenic snowshoe hike over Christmas and at the end of the year.

Difficulty
The snowshoe hikes are technically easy (Day2: WT2) and require a good basic level of fitness.

The packing list will be sent with the registration confirmation. Complete snowshoe set and avalanche equipment can be rented.

Registration deadline & payment
24 November 2024 at the latest, due to hotel room cancellation. Payment immediately after room confirmation.

Better by public transport, as start and end points are not identical.
