THE MAGIC IN THE HEART OF THE ALPSTEIN MOUNTAINS
Tour description
Day 1: From the Hoher Kasten, we’ll follow the ridge trail, passing through two impressive limestone gorges on our way to Alp Sigel. We’ll have dinner in the picturesque village of Appenzell and then spend the night in one of the lovingly renovated, idyllic rooms of a 350-year-old, detached Appenzell farmhouse. On a clear night, the magic of the stars is guaranteed. A hot hot tub and a cold outdoor bathtub are available for us to use as needed. We’ll wrap up our day of hiking comfortably around the fire pit.
Day 2: On the second day of our hike, we begin our route at Ebenalp and hike over the Schäfler, from where we can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Alpstein mountain range. We continue over the steep Ageteplatte down to the picturesque Meglisalp. After the descent to Seealpsee, we finally reach our destination for the day, Wasserauen. There, we round off our second day of hiking with a well-deserved refreshment.
