Tour description
The most beautiful ridge walk in Toggenburg? Certainly one of the most exciting! The traverse from the Winden Pass to the Neuenalpspitz offers wonderfully varied views, both deep and far-reaching. The guide will lead you safely along the narrow path, as they know exactly where you need to be extra careful and where you might need to use your hands (no climbing sections). For sure-footed hikers with a head for heights, this is no problem at all, but rather a varied and delightful experience. Once you reach the summit, a 360-degree panorama with spectacular views of the Alpstein awaits you – a relaxed lunch break and an entry in the summit logbook are also a must. Rare orchid species grow in the surrounding area, and indeed, the mountain spring is in full bloom at this time of year. Below you can see Lake Gräppelen – idyllically nestled in the beautiful Toggenburg landscape. If you fancy a dip on the way down, this hidden gem of a mountain lake, complete with jetty, is the perfect spot, as this high plateau can be described as a very relaxing retreat in both winter and summer. Don’t forget your towel. :)
